The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is the premier event of the Order of the Arrow, and is Scouting's second-largest national event. Over 10,000 Arrowmen from across our nation gather for an inspirational and unforgettable experience full of fellowship, training, adventure, and fun!

During NOAC, Arrowmen will participate in a six-day conference which includes top notch training sessions, cool recreational opportunities, evening shows full of theatrics and special effects, and exciting programs.

The 2015 NOAC will be held from August 3-8, 2015 at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow. Arrowmen can travel to NOAC with a contingent from their lodge, or as a staff member supporting the thousands of Arrowmen attending in the conference.

Arrowmen attending the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference will get a once in a lifetime souvenir, a special edition red sash. These sashes will differ from those currently worn in that the colors will be reversed, with a white arrow emblazoned on a red sash. The rarity of the sash is noteworthy, as only those present at NOAC 2015 will receive them. Any extras produced will not be sold.

Don't miss out on NOAC in 2015, because the next one won't be until 2018!

  • Promote camping, responsible outdoor adventure, and environmental stewardship as essential components of every Scout’s experience, in the unit, year-round, and in summer camp.
  • Develop leaders with the willingness, character, spirit and ability to advance the activities of their units, our brotherhood, Scouting, and ultimately our nation.
  • Crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others.

Troop/Team OA Representative Program PDF Print E-mail

Now, more than ever, the Troop/Team Representative is at the height of its effectiveness. The National Order of the Arrow Committee has recently tailored the program's focus to meet the needs and goals of units, Chapters, Lodges, and Councils. The duties of the Troop/Team Representative are now more specific and in harmony with a focus on service. Several of the additions are highlighted here. A Troop/Team Representative should:

  • Make at least one high adventure presentation to the unit annually
  • Coordinate the Ordeal induction process for newly elected candidates
  • Participate in unit members’ paths to Brotherhood
  • Lead community service projects for the unit
  • Advocate environmental stewardship and Leave No Trace camping

A complete list of duties is located online at http://www.oa-bsa.org/programs/ttr/troop.php. The website also includes links to resources a Troop/Team Representative can use when assisting with a unit election. With these new refinements in place, the OA Troop/Team Representative program will continue to serve its integral function as a way to enhance the experience of youth in the Order of the Arrow. The program also aims to help communications among the unit, Chapter, and Lodge thrive. Use the opportunity now to take your unit, Chapter, or Lodge to the next level by making involvement in the Troop/Team Representative program a priority!

(Scouts Helping At Camp)El Rancho Cima Sign Work Weekends

SHAC Corps is an opportunity for troops and crews to give back to camp in the form of a day of service. The Order of the Arrow is leading this opportunity, but this service project is open to all Boy Scouts and Venturers. All you have to bring is your personal camp gear. Camp is providing the food and a special Shoulder Patch (specific for each weekend) that will only be available to those who provide service. You can attend more than one weekend to collect all the different SHAC Corps CSP’s. Service projects will include creating new campsites and clearing new programs areas for activities such as zip lines. Letters will be given to youth who need school service hours. Units or individual Arrowman (OA members) may register.

Bovay Scout Ranch (Feb 21-23), Camp Strake (May 9-10), El Rancho Cima (May 30- June 1)
